New Rural Route Rulings.

The postmaster general has sent out orders to the postoffioe concerning some rather important changes in the rural route rules. Hereafter all mail boxes on the rural routes will have to be equipped with a suitable signal for the purpose of indicatiug whether or not there is mail therein.

Another important change, and one that will work for economy for the farmer as well as less labor for the carrier: Two or more families will be allowed the use of gne mail box, provided that the families sign an agreement and file it with the postmaster. This will do away with so many boxes at crossroads and lanes which are not traveled by the carrier.
