Niles Found In Chicago.
The Goshen Democrat says: A telegram received at the sheriff’s office this morning stated that Gen. E. R, Niles had been located in Chicago and that he was at the home of his sister, Mrs. Caroline L. Wilsey, 6531 South Oakley avenue, where it was suspected for some time he was being secreted. Chicago police watched the place and finally discovered the missing insane patient was there. The message was then sent to Sheriff Manning, who at once notified Superintendent Rogers of Longcliff asylum and it is supposed asylum officers will go to Chicago at once, after getting a requisition or order of some description from Gov Durbin and bring Niles back. Niles, it is said, will fight going back to the asylum and his sister, who wrote here he was many miles away and had plenty to eat, seems to be giving him all the assistance she can to effect his escape.
