Two More Teachers Engaged.

Superintendent Sander* and the School Board have contracted for two more teachers for the vacant places in the city teaching force for the ensuing school year. A W. Grissom, of Monroe county, has been hired for the 6th and 7th year grades. He has attended the state normal for two years and has had three years’ experience jn teaching. His employment now completes the entire list of grade teachers. For teacher of History in the high school, Marvin Wallace, of Wayne county has been chosen. He is a graduate of Indiana University, with a degree of A 8., and a teacher of four year’s experience. More interesting still, to the pupils, is the fact that he is an all-around athlete, of high renown. He has a whole assortment of medals won in athletic contests, and holds the state record for a quarter of a mile dash, hence the hopelessness of any of the boys trying to get away from him when their conduct requires the application of discipline. He is also an eminent basket ball player. Only two places now remain vacant, both in the high school. Those of Science, and Latin and English.
