The Fire Loss at Goodland.

Tne Goodland Herald’s estimates of the loss in the fire there last Sunday morning, figure up to between SIB,OOO and $20,000. Philip Roy’s is placed at SB,OOO, with no insurance. Harrington & Son,at the same figure, with $2,000 insurance. The Columbia Brewing Co., lost $2,000 with SI,OOO. There were also some smaller losses. The origin of the fire is a matter of doubt. The theory of spontaneous combustion in new hay is held by some; and the old time worn, tramp sneaking in and dropping a match or cigar stub is also on duty again. The Herald states that a shepherd dog named Shep was about the most active and successful agent there was in getting the horses out of the burn-' ing livery barn.
