About the Rose Bud Land.

Regarding the Rose Bud Indian reservation land now open to settlement, and of which about a dozen or mere Rensselaer men are trying to get a share, a few facts may be of interest, as explained by one of the party who left for there, last Satui day. The lands will be distributed in quarter sections, by lot, among, those who file within the time allowed. It is now thought that so many will file that only about one irt 15 or 20, will draw any prize. Those who file pay SIOO at the time, and if they get nothing they get their money back Tho-:e who get land, must, in I addition to their first SIOO also pay j 75 cents per acre every year, until i the entire amount for the quarter ! section, is $4 per acre. They | must also reside on the land five : years, the same as an ordinary homestead. They can prove-up however, at any time by paying $125 per acre additional. It is fine land and said to be worth, on an average, $24 per acre. Therefore if any of our citizens are holders of the lucky numbers they will have quite a little fortune; for very little cost.
