It is unnecessary to state that Warren G. Sayer, of Wabash, is a candidate for U. S. senator, to snooeed O. W. Fairbanks. Uncle Wasren G’ is as perennial a candidate for everything good that comes along:, in tbe Republican party, as Nelson J. Bozsrth of Valparaiso, is in the Den; ooratio party. Like all ohronio candidates for everything. *hey are consummate nuisances, and there ought to be some way of sitting down on them so hard that they would stay sat on.

The prospects are said to ba excellent so; a large pickle crop this year. There is some talk of l olding an Old Settlers meeting at the park this fall. Born, Sunday, July 3rd, to Geo, Lambert and wife, a 12 pound son Mother and son are'doing well. Will McColly, now of Hoopston, Ills , was here a few days last week, including the Fourth. Mrs. A, Moore and children, of Brookston, are visiting her parents, MilesJJJMoffit and wifs and relatives. Minnie Hooper ha 3 returned home afterjjan extended visit with relatives in Illinois. The interlocking switch at the crossing of the Monon and C. E, I Rys, at this place has been praotic. ally made new and is again in operation s nee last Saturday. The huckleberry crop is said to be large and the berries fine Judging from the number of pickers every day none of them will go_to waste. A numbers of our people Sundayed at the Kankakee and enjoyed the day at fishing and boating, but no large oatcheshave be en reported. The fish are not biting very good. Quite a number of our people a t tended the exercises of the lay'mg of the corner stone of tho new city L - brary building, at Rensselaer, last Wednesday.

Our base ball boys beat Thayer on the latter's grounds last Sunday .morning by a score of 18 to 4, but in the afternou the tune was changed and Fair Oaks w s beaten dy Rose Lawn by a score of 12 to 4. -3-7 Both of our churches had refresh, ments stands at the park on the Fourth of July and did exceedingly well, The receipts for the Ch istiane were about $l3O, and about SBS for the Methodists. The difference in the receipts is no doubt due to die fact that the Christians served me alt all day.

Choking Catarrh Cured I Your Money Back If Hyomei Does Not Cure You. “Use Hyomei and be cured of oatarrh,” is what all who have tried it for that disease say to their friends, it Is the easiest thing in the world to stop catarrh at its beginning if you use Byomei. Just breathe the healih giving, balsamic air for a few minuies aud your oatarrh will be cured. In the worst cases of thisT dise se chronic or acute. Hyomei used four or five times a day is all that is needed to soon effeot a cure. The complete Hyomei outfit costs but SI.OO and comprises a hard rubber pooket inhaler, a bottle of Hyotr ei and a dropper. The inhaler will last a life time; and additional bottles of Hyomei can be obtained for dOo. In this city and neighboring towns, there are hundreds who oan testify to the remarkable powers of Hyomei to cure catarrh, Many of the staunches friends of this remedy today began its use with little hope that they would be cured, but as B. F. Eendig offered to refund the money if it did not oure, they deoid* ed to try it on that plan, and were soon restored to health.
