Are Now In Bankrupt Court

The final formal action placing the McCoy matters all in the U. 8. bankrupt court was taken Monday befor - Judge Andersort, at Tndiauapolis. Tbe failed banking firm of A. MoCoy & Company was adjudged a bankrupt, and so also in separate oases, ,'fred MoCoy and Thomas J MoCoy, iadividually. The whole matter was • then regularly turned over to John O. Bowers, of Hammond, referee in bankruptcy for this distriot. The various parties deolared bankrupts must within ten days, file a list of their debtors and creditors, and their amounts. After that the referee must publish notioes of first meeting of creditors, giving not lees than 10 nor more than 30 days’ nofoe. At thcs9 first meetings, the creditors oan eleot a trustee, and also, if desired, examine the bankrupts. Between the time the notice of first meeting is published, and its date, all creditors must file their olaims with the referee, and only such as comply with this requirement oan be permitted to vote at the election of a trustee.' - It is probable that the' first meetings of creditors will be held here, but that is in the hands of Referee Bowers to decide.
