Notes From The Farms.

The corn is growing quite rapidly now, in spite of the occasional cool spell and is fast making up for|the late planting and by its oolor is showing vigor and strength to make a fine orop if weather continues favorable. It is unusually dean and well worked, and in fine shape to grow very fast during the next few weeks. Oats are not promising a large crop this year, though may do much better than many have expeoted. The dry weather through June has kept them short, but the recent showers have helped their prospects greatly, in most places in this vicinity. Very little clover hay will be made this year owing to the quantity that winter killed, and timothy hay will also be light in moetplaoes, on account both of the bard winter and the dry June. Canada thistles are just ready to blossom now and all those who know of any on their premises are liable to fine unless they use every precaution for their extermination. The law haß been made stronger recently and road supervisors are required to uee every means, even to the enforcing of the law to stamp out this pest.
