The City Council.
The city engineer reported the Van Rensselaer street sewer, from the library building, oompleted, at a total oost of $247. Also the Vine and Milton street sewer was reported oompleted, at a total oost of $1075.51. The oity commissioners will assess for both sewers on July 7th, Some parties on Clark street who did not build their sidewalks last fall, as ordered, are to be notified to do so now. l The oement walk fronting Milt Roth’s property, on Oullen street is so low the water stands on it. The city engineer and street committee are direoted to devise means to remedy the trouble. The committee on eleolrio lights and water works were granted two more weeks’ time in whioh to investigate the question of salaries, of the superintendent and other employes. The oity attorney was ordered to prepare a new ordinance for the control of Weston cemetery, the present ordinance being imperfect in some particulars. The insurance on the oity hall was renewed at S7OO, on hose cart, building No, 2, at S3OO, in C. GSpitler’s agenoy. Some 41 miscellaneous olaims were considered and allowed,
