Remington Banks Solid.
Remington Press: False reports to the contrary, our banks are still doing business at the old stands and are as safe as any bank in the laud if let alone. We are glad to note that the level headed people here have stood by our bankers through the scare that seemed to frighten some of the smaller depositors, who became excited and drew out their money needlessly, thereby laying themselves more liable to lose it through robbery or fire, but the better informed, level headed class of oitizens, many of whom had ten times as much money on deposit, remained quiet and serene, and by their demeanor have about restored confidence among those inclined to be scared, We beleive this fright is now about over, as it should be. Our bankers are both careful conservative men, neither of whom are speculators or bummers in any sense of the word, and there is no reason to feel any apprehension about the stability of either of their banks. We are glad to see and know that the scare did not assume any considerable size, and business will now assume its usual routine. Why wear crooked spectacles, Jessen adjusts them free.
