Death of a Former Resident.

Thomas Jones, a resident of Rensselaer about 20 years and kindly remembered by many of our citizens, died suddenly at his home at Kentland, on Wednesday June Ist. He had been about as usual during the day, and in the afternoon was left at home with a little grandson while Mrs. Jones went to a church social. Not long after the little boy found hie grandfather unconscious on a couoh. Help was called but he died in 10 minutes before a doctor could reach him. He lived in Rensselaer from 1879 to 1884, and was in the carpenter and builder business, and was in partnership with the late Michael Eger. He went from here to Wichita Kansas, and from there to Kentland in 1901. Kentland having long been his home before he came to Rensselaer. He was 62 years old and leaves a wife and one son. He also left two brothers and two sisters, one of the latter Mrs, John Braddock being a resident of this county.
