Not A State Bank.
Indianapolis Star; Discussing the failure of the McCoy bank at Rensselaer, Ind., E. M. Hinshaw, state band examiner, says the bank was not a state bank. The only state bank which has closed its doors in many years was the Farmer’s bank at Auburn, Ind, which failed in January. State bankers and the banking department have been done an injustice by declaring that the McCoy bank was a state institution, he says. It was a private concern.
