Call for Joint Representative Convention
The Republican delegates or al ternates selected pursuant to a call of the Chairman of the respective counties in the represent ative district composed of Lake and Jasper counties shall meet at Rensselaer, Indiana, on the 25th day of June, 1904, at two o'clock p. m. on said day for the purpose of nominating a candidate for Joint Representative from said district to be voted for at the general election to be held in November, 1904. Each county shall be entitled to one delegate and one alternate de legate for every two hundred votes or fraction of over one hundred votes oast for Daniel E. Storms for Secretary of state at the November election, 1902, and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State Central Committee governing such oases under apportionment the respective counties shall have the following number of delegates and alternate delegates to-wit: Jasper county, ten delegate a d ten alternate delegates. Lake county, seven delegates and seven alternate delegates. Geo. A. Williams, Chairman of Jasper County. Ernest L. Shortridge, Chairman of Lake County. In pursuance to the above call the delegates selected in Jasper county on Saturday, June 4, 1904, will meet at Rensselaer, Indiana at 2 o’clock p. m,, on June 25, 1904, in joint convention with the delegates from Lake county, to nominate a candidate for joint representative. The nineteen delegates from Jasper county will be entitled to cast ten votes in the convention, that is each delegate will cast ten-nineteenths of a vote George A.
