The City Council.
The City Marshal asked for crushed rook to repair streets with. Referred to street committee. The city commissioners are directed to meet June 13 to make assessments on Division and Scott street sewer. E. Peacock asks for a sewer cutlet under the road, at his place in the west part of town. Refered committee. S. P. Thompson asked the council to accept a deed for the river bed from the Jasper County Drainage Association. Referred to committee on public property. The light rental of the W. R. C, was reduced from $2 per month to $1.50. The salary bid went through to a finish, all salaries remain as be- j fore, except the treasurer’s is reduced from $250 per year to $205. Mayor and counoilmen get $2 per meeting night; the clerk gets $l5O per year, salary to S6O per year for light and water duplicates, $2 for each special meeting, and 10 cents per 100 words for copying ordinances etc. The marshal gets $45 per month. There were 13 claims allowed.
