Death of Alexander Tyler,

Alexander Tyler, an old and well known resident of Keener tp., died Saturday. May 21st, at the home of his son, W. H. Tyler, half a mile south of DeMotte, He was one of the earliest residents of Keener tp., having lived there since 1868, and was long prominent in its affairs, and held the office of township trustee for six or eight years. He was sick about two weeks from a stomach trouble, His age was 78 years, 11 months and 10 days. He left a widow and three sons, Wm. H. and John B. Tyler, of Keener tp., and Merrill M. Tyler, of Rensselaer. The funeral was held Sunday at the residence.
