Death of Mrs. Henry Watson.
Mrs. Mary Watson, wife of Henry Watson, died Monday night, at 8 o’clock, at her home in the northeast part of town. The sickness which caused her death resulted from a cancer on the side of Tier face and neck. It first developed about six months ago, while she was visiting a sister, in Chicago. After being in a hospital several months, without obtaining relief, she returned to her home here several weeks ago, to await the inevitable end.
Mrs. Watson’s maiden was Mary Shortridge and she was born in Fayette Co., Ind., Sept. 6, 1847, her age at death being 56 years, 8 months and 6 days. She was married in this county, Nov. 17, 1869, to Henry Watson, who survives her. as also 7 of their eight children, namely Lizzie, Harry, Cuarles and Jeanetta Watson, of Rensselaer, Mrs. Daisy Abraham of Albuquerque, N. Mex, Mrs. Bernice Kohler, of Chicago Heights, Hl., and Frank, who was at Seattle, Wash., when last heard from. Another son Dee, died a few years ago. The funeral was held Wednetday May lltb, at 2:30 p. m.. at Trinity M. T. churob, by Rev. H. L. Kindig.
