The April Term.

The April term of the Jasper circuit court ended Saturday afternoon. Although much important business was disposed of during the term, yet it was very notable in there was only one jury trial during the whole term. And that was by a picked-up jury, the regular panel having been wholly excused from attendance. The constantly increasing number of cases that are now submitted to the judge, without a jury, is a remarkable, though to us not unexpected, evidence of the great reputation Judge Hanley has already achieved for fairness and wise judgment On the bench.
