Funeral of Wm B. Scearcy.
Tiie funeral of William B. Soearcy was held last, Tuesday forenoon, at 10 o’clock, at the First Baptist church; Rev. J B. Bair, of Brookston, conducting the religious services. He was born in Mississippi, Sept. sth, 1827, and died in Rensselaer, May Ist, 1904, aged 77 years, 7 months and 26 days. He was married to Ellen Jackson, May sth, 1850, by whom he had four sons and two daughters. Of these, three sons and two daughters are now living, and Mrs. Scearoy also survives him. He spent most of his life in the south, but came to live with their daughter Mrs. J. L. Smith a year or two ago. and last fall moved into town where he died. Two of the sons, Benjamin, from Kentucky, and Powell, from Ohio, were present at the funeral. The other son, George,.is in Miss., and could not be reached in time. Interment was in Weston cemetery. ,
