Assignee’s Bond Approved.
J. J. Hunt, as attorney fur Assignee, James H. Chapman, went to Indianapolis Wednesday, and secured the surety company bond for Mr. Chapman, as assignee of the McCoy bank. The bond is issued by the American Bonding Company, of Baltimore, Md., and is in the sum of $320,000. It cost $320 or one tenth of one per cent, of the amount of the bond. This is very cheap and much less than was to have been expected and much less than other surety companies cffered. In fact it was a very special rate, based on the circumstances of the property and the high standing of the assignee. The bond was produced in court on Thursday morning, and was duly approved by Judge Hanley. This makes Mr, Cuapman full and complete assignee, and in full charge and control cf all affaire.
