Big Libel Suit
Mayor Harrison’s brother, William Preston Harrison, wants $750,000 from William Randolph Hearst, his employes and hie newspapers. He filed five suits Wednesday, in which the damages are placed at $150,000 each. The cause of action is libel based on recent publication in the Hearst newspapers, The defendants in the five cases are William Randolph Hearst, Andrew M Lawrence, Andrew E. Puckrin, the Chicago Examiner, and the Chioego American. From each defendant $150,000 is demanded. Harrison says additional suits may follow.
