Death of a Former Resident

Joseph Coons, an early and long a well knovn resident of Jasper county, died at his home at Buokliu, Kans , last Wednesday morning, April 20, at the age of about 73 years. Be bad been in good health up to the night before when he bad a stroke of paralysis and his death followed from that this morning.

He lived in Johnson county this state, until he was married, in 1851 and then moved to this omnty and lived in the vicinity of Rensselaer until 16 years ago, when the family moved to Coat* county, Kansas.
