Developements To Dale.
Toe most interesting late developement in the bank matter is the opposition that has developed among -he depositors to the appointment of W. A Rinehart, as assignee. These objections seem mainly based on his close relationship to the nw i-rs of the bink, and his being a non resident of the town and state. So strong and general is this opposition that a considerable movement for bis removal is now on foot, the preliminary steps to that end having been taken at a meeting of d-pißitors, Wednesday night.
The only meanp by which a ohange oau now be effected, is through the oirouit oourt. Mr. Rinehart is now the holder of the property through the trust deed, and even the owners of the bank have no power to remove him, nor will ih j y hive any power to select another assignee iu his plaoe- Oj prtsmtation to the oourt of a petition signed by the holders of a maj irity of the deposits, it will be in the descretion of the judge t> remove the present assigaee, and to appoint an ither in his plaoe. The new appointee, if one is made must by law, be a disinterested party, and must be neither a depositor or other creditor or debtor of the bank.
Another point of interest that has been muob disonssed is the rights of the wives to hold interests in the realestate. it seems that the law is that in estates of this amouat, in oases of either death or liquidation, the wives are entitled to Hold only one fifth of the property, instead of the usual one third.
