Christian Church Convention Closes.

The oonventi- u of t ie Chris ian ohurohes of this dis'rict closed at LiPorte Thursday afternoon. The reports of toe - ffi e<-s showed that there have beeu 460 additions to the ohurohes of the distriot in revival meetings du ing the last six months. There have been, aooording to reports and conservative estimates, added at regular servioes, duriag the same time, 200 people, making ia all an ad vanoe in the district of 650 members daring the last six months. Rev. Vernon Harrington and wife were obo9en as distriot evangelists and will be kept busy holding re ival meetings in the distriot the year around. Rev. M. J. Elam, of Rensselaer, whs stleoted as oorr* ep mdin s> oreary for the district, and also superintendent of the evangelistio Hud whioh the mod responsible position in the dis'rict. A further honor Mr. Elam received was being chosen to preaoh one of the tvo regular Bermans of the convention, the celebrated J H 0. Smith preaching the other. The next meeting will be held in Va'paraiso in October.
