Ernest Shortridge Has An Experience.

Ernest L. Shortridge, of Hammond, well known here, and a former resident of this oouuty, had a banting experienoe on, or rather in, the Kankakee the other day, as thus related by the Hammond News: Weary in body and soul Prosecutor W. J. MoAleer and Court Reporter E. L. Shortridge returned last night from the Kan* kakee river. They went there Monday morning on ahnntiog trip. While out in the boat yesterday afternoon the affair was upset and both men thrown into the ioy waters of the Kankakee. They narrowly esoaped drowning aud all they got was a sousing.
