Death of Mrs Wm. E. Moore.

Mrs. Diana Evans Moore, wife of Wm. E. Moore, and one of Jasper county’s earliest and best known residents died at her home on north Van Rensselaer street on Thursday morning, March 7, 1904, about one o’clock. She had been in poor health for a time, with a complication of diseases, and her death resulted from general prostration, due to her long sickness and enfeebled condition. ** She was quite a celebrity from having been a real daughter of a Revolutionary soldier, and highly honored therefor, by such patriotic orders as the Daughters of the American Revolution. A more adequate account of her life and ancestry will be given later. The funeral will be held Saturday, at 2:30 p. m, at the M. E. church.
