Last year 4,000,747 domestic money otders were paid at the New York postoffice, an average of 12,600 a day, inelvding Sundays and holidays. In the same time only 121.144 were issued, showing that New Yorkers send money by some source other than that adopted by thousands of persons who reside outside of New York and have money transactions \Mth New Yorkers. The orders paid at the New York office i.mounted to $27,668,220.82. or more thaa $2,000,000 a month, in the whole year but $1,674,231 Jf4 was sent away. <-
