The County Commissioners.

The April session of the commissioners’ court was largely given o the consideration of claims of various kinds. Aside from this and besides what has already been reported, the following proceedings were had. Charles M. Blue, trustee of Marion township, was authorized to extend additional aid to 12 persons, or families, all residents of Rensselaer.

R W. Marshall was re-appoint- ♦ d county attorney for another year, at the same salary as heretofore, namely S4OO per year. On petition of a large number of influential citizens John H, Thornton was appointed a justice of the peace in and for Marion township, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation and removal of Samuel E. Yeoman.
