Buzz Hooper has moved onto the Home ranch near Rose Lawn for the summer. The Christian church will be re-dedicated on Sunday, May 15th
J, F Irwin and Frank Alters of Rent-sUaer, were here last Friday looking over the ground with a view of starting a brick factory, with very satisfactory results. A car load of plows was received here last week from Peoria, 111, for the Tolin & Hillis ranch. Mrs. Ike Kight has returned from a two weeks visit with here daughter Mrs Mike Shehan, at Lafayette. George Davidson and wife have moved back from Gcodland and are living on their farm near town.
Rev. A. C. Abbott formerly of this place, but now of Fiankiin, was her last week on business matters and also visiting friends. Stanley Gallaher, of Kirklin, who has been visiting his brother N A. McKay, for several weeks left last Sunday for Jamestown N. D where he has a good job at farming this summer. E. J, Barfoot, of Chicago has just bought and taken possession of the Halleck Nursery farm at Pembroke Ran Halleck and family have movtd to Rochester, where they expect te reside in the future.
The union Easter exercises given by both Sunday schools at the M. E. church last Sunday evening was even better than was expected by ihs large and interested audience present. Supt. P, H, Zea presided over the program, cen-t-isting of prayer by Bro. Wilson, music, son deolathatrons, class recitations, etc., ending with a beautiful tableaux. The decorations and mbitos very appriate to the occasion.
Jack Kight has taken bis horses to Hcbpston, Uh. where he has Secured good training quarters for them and expects to put them in hue shape. He will remain until September,'
