Wash Loman and some others drove a herd of over 300 head of cattle from west of Rensselaer to Makeever’s farm near Parker Saturday. They«were Thompson and Lawler cattle.
Quite a number of. young people including Peregrines, Downs, McKinneys and Elba .took dinner at Mr. Geo, Parkers Sunday. Miss Carrie Ringeisn who for the past several months has been staying in Dakota is now home again- -JIN \
Uncle Sammy Parker was able to be ont at church Sand ay. A large crowd attended the quarterly meeting at Parker Sunday. Although the society has been organized only abeut seven months there is now a membership of over forty Methodist members and several associate members making in all about 50 Miss Carrie Parker is staying with Mrs. Stockton in Rensseiaer. Miss Mary Iselman who has for several weeks been staying with Mrs. Hollingsworth in Rensselaer spent last week at home with her parents.
There seemed to be some misunderstanding at the quarterly meeting Sunday in regard to the baptismal service, Rev. Fertioh will baptise the new members the first Sunday in April. The regular preaching at 3 p. m. ) Miss Pearl Buraon spent the day with Mrs. Aus Moore in Rensselaer Monday.
It took a long time to get the merger case into the snpreme court, of course, for it always does this, and in the nature of things these proceeding must inevitably be slow. In this case the matter was expedited by a congressional measure. But slow as it was, it got there, which was something it would never have done under a Democratic administration such as the last we bad, for it wonld never even have got started,
