Boy’s Arm Shot Off.

Another lamentable hunting accident has occurred jn Jasper county, whereby a y6ung fellow just approaching manhood, is mutilated for life The accident occurred last Friday March 18th, in the north end of Gillam township The victim was Arthur Craig. 16 year sqn of John Craig. He was just prepared to go out hunting with a neighbor’s boy, and while standing in the door way, he rested the butt of his gun on the door-sill, and it slipped off and as it fell the hammer struck the sill discharging the gun The charge entered his right arm at the wrist, and ranged upward, mutilating the arm, so that it had to be amputated about two inches below the elbo v. Drs Soult of San Pierre and Hackley, of Medaryville, performed the operation
