Hanging Grove Township Nominations

Hanging Grove township Republicans nominated their township ticket last Saturday afternoon. Of the 82 Republicans in the townshi p 78 were present at the convention. Wash Cook was nominated for Trustee.,, He received 42 votes, Reed MoCoy 21 and Jim Tyler 13. John Osborne was nominated for assessor by unanimous vote.

Hanging Grove is solid for the Republicans this year, and is in na danger of making another failure on the township officers The poll shows 82 Republicans to 40 Democrats, so that even if unanimous MoOoysburg succeeds in importing the one Democrat they are advertising for, as a curiosity, the Republican’s will still be two to one in the township. One noteworthy accession to the Republicans ranks in the township is Olin Stewart, a bright youug school teacher, and son of the present Democratic trustee of the township. *
