Shot Off the End of His Toe.
James Linton a young man who works for Joe Nagel, seven miles west of town, was in town Monday afternoon, having what w,is then left of one of his big toes, dressed by a physician. He was out hunt iug duoks last Friday evening, and while crawling through a fenoe in order to approach the duoks with proper circumspection, his gun was discharged. The charge just oaught the end of the big toe of his left foot, which was oarried away, end leaving a not very large but very painful injury, and one which, from its jagged oharaoter and the foreign substances lodged in it, might, if not oarefully attended to, have serious oonseqnenoes. The young man was very Inoky that he did not get it any worse.
