Dr. Berkife-jr, of RenlSela&r, if as here on professional business lost Sunday. The infant Bon of F. E< Hußted and wife has been blok with pneumonia, but is better at this writing Mrs. D. L. Keen visited friends and relatives at Hammond a few days last week. Mrs. Ella Raynor and son Howard, are visiting friends and relatives at Freeport, Ills. Cbas A. Gundy has made application to the Board of Commissioners for saloon license for another year. Don’t forget the supper at the school house, Saturday evening, Maroh 19th. Everybody invited. —Several people from here attended the funeral of Dr. Wilson, at Rose Lawn, last Suuday. Chae. Vanaredel had the misfortune to lose a good working horse last Friday. He valued the animal at SIOO. Winnie, the 6-year-old eon of Jim Williams and wife, libb been very dangerously siok with pneumonia, but is reported to be better and will recover.
Remember the quarterly meeting at the M. E. ohuroh next Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Elder Wood will be present, assisted by Rev. Rummel. Everybody oordialiy invited. Frank E Husted has resigned his position as agent for the Monon at Bhelby. J. L. Anderson, of Mo non, has been appointed to succeed him. Mr, and Mrs. R. O. Graves, of Moroooo, are rejoioing over the birth of a fine big boy since Sunday, Feb. 28th, and their first born. Orth says he tips theioalesat 11 pounds, and mother and are doing well. Mrs. Graves was formerly Mi3B May Erwin, of Fair Oak~. The ladies of the Christian ohurch will give their annual Easter supper at the school house, Saturday evening, April 2nd. ■ The work of barreling the balance of the piokles at the salting station is now in progress under the supervision of Mr. Salters, of Shelby, They will be shipped as soon as cars oen be obtainedThere will be several oar loads, three of which will be consigned to parties at St. Louis.
