A Soldiers’ Home Cottage.

The County Council Appropriated S3, IN For the Purpose. The moat important and interesting act performed by the County Council at their special meeting Tuesday, was the appropriation of $3,000 for a county cottage, at the state soldiers’ home, at Lafayette. The council re-appropriated a large number of small sums appropriated but not use last year. There were also a number of new appropriations made, besides that for the soldiers’ cottage. Among these was S2OO for copying deed record No. 6, in the recorder’s office; $lO for new bath tub and fixtures at the county farm; S2OO for live stock at the same; $750 for a new bridge in Remington; SIOO for the approaches to the _Padgett bridge, over the Iroquois, at Rensselaer, and various smaller sums.
