Routers will Get A Good Raise.

The House committee on postoffices has deoided to modify the amendment relative to rural carriers by incorporating in it a provisioa permitting the carriers to do errands for patrons on the route This authority is embodied in the postoffioe appropriation bill, whioh was reported Saturday; farther than this there Is no ohange in the amendment. The salaries of the carriers are fixed at $720 a year and they are prohibited from soliciting or aoting as agents for firms or corporations.
