How February Finally Foots lip.
The month of 1904, did not keep the pace it set during its first week, neither in the matter of extreme cold nor great and sudden changes to unseasonable heat. Thus during the first week we had both the oddest and the warmest weather of the month. During that week the weather hit zero three times, and hit it hard, scoring a low mark of 10 Jselow, and a total of 21 degrees below. During that same week the temperature was 52 degrees one day aud 50 another.' The oddest weather after the first week was 5 below on the 16th aud the. warmest 45 above on the 28th. There were six zero marks during the month, as compared with 10 in January. There was 9 inches of snow during the month, and inches of precipitation. There were 9 stormy days; G days that were dear 16 partly clear and 7 cloudy. On the whole sunshine was at a high premium during the month. In February a year ago, whioh was supposed to be part of a mild winter, we had 16£ inohes of snows inches of precipitation, and a bigger total score of below zero weather, than during the • month just ended, though zero was hit a less number of times. - In February 1902 zero was hit 10 times. During this February we had two thunder storms, on the 7th and 29th and that was something of the two former Februaries had not even onoe.
