The State Militia Encampment.

Tha meeting of a score of regimental officers with Gov. Dnrbin at the Htatehonse last week, about whioh there was an air of seoreoy, has been explained by tbe announcement that the meeting was held for the purpose of arranging for the summer's encampment. Si has been proposed that the Indiana National Guard held its enoampmentearlier in the summer than has keen done, and the middle of Jane has been suggested. The new army post site, north of 'lndianapdfiis. will be the site for tbe encampment. Daring the maneuvers a dose watch will be kept on the individual companies, and it is said at the dose companies making tbe best showing will be selected to form a brigade which mill go, io the St. Loais Exposition. It as believed that a short stay there will be a great attraction to Hooaier visitors, and it has been suggested that the troops be present Sept. 2, Indiana day.
