The Township Assessors.

The various township assessors met with County Assessor Phillips, in his offioe, at the court house, today, to agree on a basis of assessment, for the ensuing annual assessment of personal property.

As the assessors begin work a month earlier than heretofore, by a change of law, their meeting is held a month earlier, also The changes made from the basis of last year, are not numerous, nor very large. J. H. Allman of Carpenter, was made chairman of the meeting, and Oris McCullough, of Gillam, secretary. The basis agreed upon is published in another place iu this paper.
