Panama Treaty Adopted.
At last the way is dear for the sure and rapid construction o;f the great Isthmian canal, which the civilized nations of the world have trying for, for three hundred years and more. The Senate Tuesday ratified the treaty with the new republio of Panama, and now everything' will be smooth sailing. The vote on the treaty was 66 for to 14 against. It takes a two thirds majority to ratify a treaty Every Republican senator voted for tbe treaty and 14 Democrats also placed patriotism and progress against the hope of party advantage, and voted also for the treaty. The same "number of Democrats voted against the treaty.
