A Big Time Coming
On Tuesday Evening Hard Bth. Watch Far It. The Rensselaer Military band was or -anized about 6 months ago It was composed of a goodly number of Rensselaer's best and brightest boys, and most promising musicians. The band started out with every prospect of soon atta ning unusual excellence Since theatart they have lacked nothing in di igence and faithfulness, in their practice, and the progress they have made justifies the most enthusiastic antioi pati ms. The boys have pa d all their own incidental expenses, and have used np all the citizens contributed in paying for , instruction Now they are "up again t it” for more money. They are not going to ask for any more contributions, ,but they are going to ask for the public to generously patronize an entertainment to be given for the band's benefit, on Tuesday evening, M *rch Bth. An entertainment in which everyone will get value received, and a good deal more, in hea thv amusement, and twice value received from the good their money will do to the band, and from the good the band, in turn, will do to them The attraction they bav« secured is the Jansen Carnival Company, one of the renowned Slayton’s Lyceum Bureau’s best, and in w»ich appear the celebrated Peet Brothers. This entertainment guarantees a hundred big laughs, for half a hundred little cents. The band wants to get in shape to give fine free street concerts this season, as well as to grace all public occasions with fiue band music. A most laudible purpose, and one which certainly deserves the hearty encouragement of all onr citizens.
