Our Soldiers are Shooters

Members of Company M. now have regular target practice every Wednesday night, in armory hall. They nse their regular Krag-Jorgensen rifles, bat with a speoial cartridge with a very light powder charge. They fire offhand at a target 60 feet away. Eaoh man fires six shots. The highest possible score is 30 points, At the last practice, the three high guns were, Harva Robinson 21 points, Arthur Hilling 20 points, Yern Jacks 18 points. There is a speoial reason for wanting to get the boys aU in good shooting and drilling trim now for pretty soon a big regular army inspecting offioer will come along and it will depend on bis report of the effioienoy and general good condition of the men, as to bow big a share of the million dollar appropriation the Indiana militia will get.
