A Big Time at a Lodge Meeting
The members of Rensselaer Encampment of Odd Fellows, and their wives and sisters had a big time at Odd Fellows' hall, Friday uight. I'ne occasion was the official visit of Grand Patriarch Joseph Hall, of Indianapolis, who gave an address on the work and aims of the order. About 50 members were present. After the exercises were over the members and visitors were served with a grand banquet by the wives and sisters. The grand patriarch, who has been out a month, on a visiting tour which will include every county in the state, says this was the finest banquet he had partaken of, so far on bis trip. E. E. Walton, a visiting brother from Detroit. Mich., also bora the same enthusiastic testimony to the excellence of the repast, During the meeting fourteen applications for new members were received and favorably acted upon, Which shows that the encampment is in a very flourishing condition. The new applicants will be initiated in two weeks.
