A Great Town For Mail Clerks.
During the next year Rensselaer’s already large list of* railway mail clerks promises to be increased considerably, as quite a number of our young mep who have a fancy for that class of work, are carefully preparing themselves for the spring and fall examinations. Reilsse laer’s fame for the production of mail clerks is alieady extensively known over the sth railway mail division and the heads of the various departments of that service have ceased to express astonishment when a newly appointed clerk, reporting for duty, names the Jasper capital as bis residence place. If the present pace in the production continues, it would not be exaggerating the matter, to say that in the course of the next two years, the Civil Service Commission will find it an easy matter, to supply all existing v .canoies in this division of the railway mail services, from the list of Jasper elgibles. Recognition from the outside world has always been the great ambition of every small town. Rensselaer has already the well established reputation of producing more good football players and other all-around athletes, andYnore Osteopath physicians than any other town of less than twice its size in the state, and now we are sure of an equal or greater relative distinction as the begetter of railway mail clerks.
