Col. Gifford Will Sell Out.
Reports from Col. B. J. Gifford, of Kankakee, 111., Jasper county’s and Indiana’s greatest landowner, and greatest individual railroad owner, are that he is now so badly crippled up from a recurrence of an old chronic lameness, that he considers bis days of activity practically .ended. And that he ho longer to els physically equal to the task of managing bis great properties, and contemplates selling off hie land, in farms; and probably selling his railroad also. As an indication of the correctness of this report, is the sale just consummated, of one of his farms, to his nephew, Harry Gifford.
