Hearst Boom Is Impossible.
Remarks the Goshen Times, democratic: After having read several columns of the worst kind of gush sent out from Washington by Walter Wellman to the Chicago Record Herald, it is refreshing to find a newspaper like the Indianwpolis News, which does not devote so much of its space to booms of the Hearst type. The News says.“The idea that the democratic party would for an instant think of nominating such a man cs Hearst for the presidency is too absurd. A man with two or three yellow newspapers and plenty of money can make a good deal of noise in.the world. If be ie ambitious he can make it appear to those who read his papers, that be ie the only man worth thinking aboutThis is the foundation and the only foundation for the Hearst strength. At the same time, if the democrats of Indiana and other states are becoming alarmed it will do no barm for them to devote some little time to a choking of the Hearst folly, The man ia simply impossible."
