A Christmas Day Wedding.
A. very simple but impressive wedding ceremony took place last Friday afternoon on good old Christmas day, when Maud, the youngest daughter of Mrs, Julia Healey, became the wife of Edward Francis Mills, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Mills of this city. The wedding occurred at promptly 2 o’clock at the home of the bride’s mother on North College Ave-, before 60 or 60 invited guests, including the entire K. N. Club of which the bride was a member. The bride was charmingly attired in white, while the groom made a faultless appearenoe in his neat fitting suit of black. Rev. Elam of the Christian church, the officiating clergyman, made a short } praybr at the close of the c eremony after which the young couple were the recipients of the heartiest of congratulations from all present. A lunoh and a general good time followed, which lasted until 3:80 when after many farewells and good-byes, principals of the occasion were driven to the depot to catch the train north to their future honls in Chicago. A,large number of the guests followed the couple to the station, carrying their burden of rioe, holly, old shoes and other articles that are deemed necessary to the future happiness of a young married oouple, about to leave their old friends. The bride and bridegroom however passed bravely ( tnrongh, the ! trying ordeal, even when their tormentors followed into 'the coach and sprinkled the floor and seats with their affectionate farewells. The out of town relatives and friends who attendod the wedding were, Mr. and Mrs John W.
