Death of R. T. Newman.

Raleigh T. Newman, a former well-known and highly respected resident of our county land for a while, of Rensselaer, died of paralysis of the brain and stomach, at his home in Rochester, Ind. Dec. 23,1003, at 5:30 o’clock p. m. The stroke occurred four days before his death and he was unconscious most of the intervening time. His age was 57 years and besides bis wife Annie M., he leaves two Bons, Ernest aged 28, and George aged 24 years Mr. Newman served as a soldier in Company H„ 37th Eentucky Infantry Vols. in the Civil war, and when here belong to Rensselaer Post 84 G. A. & and he and his wife were members of Milroy Circle No. 3. Ladies of G. A. R. They had lived in this county from about 1890 to about two years ago, and their-many friends here learn with regret of his untimely decease. ' -,
