Zero Came Again.
Christmas this year was black and white. Blaok in the forenoon and white in the afternoon. The mild weather of the forenoon be* ing succeeded by a driving snow storm, whioh began about 2 p. m. md lasted until late in the evening. Along with the snow oame a big drop in the temperature, which dropped and kept dropping until at seven o’clock next morning the U 8. thermometer at the local weather bureau, stood at eleven degrees below zero. The storm towards evening was one of the worst to be out in for a long-time. The bold although just reaohing the same low mark as the lowest of two weeks ago, was much more penetrating on aooount of the high wind. The snow drifted so muob that, its aoourate measurement was impossible, but it was about two or three inches.
