Another Tragical Death Near Mt Ayr

Morocco Courier. One of the most lamentable accidents occuring in this vicinity lately was the shooting on Monday and subsequent death of the three i year old daughter of Mr.' 1 and Mrs. Aroh Elijah, who live seven miles east of town, near Mt Ayr. * It seems that an older brother of the obihfren had been out. hunting on Monday afternoon and coming into the house had set his gan, a target rifle of 22 oalibre within reach of the children. Abontfour o’clock the boy a five year old ohild, and his sister who was three years old were playing about tbe house while their mother bad stepped ont doors to crack some note for them. The boy pioked up the gun, not knowing of its danger and in a spirit of, play probably pointed the gun at his sister and pulled the trigger. The oall entered the ohild’s head just back of and below the the ear and taking a downward course was extraoted by Dr. Triplett, on the right shoulder. The ball in its passage injured tbe base of the brain but the child was not nnoonsoions up to tbe time of her death. , Wednesday the obanoes fbv 'her reoovery seemed very enoohrgiug but during the night a turn for the worse occurred and in spite of all that oonld be done for her the ohild pissed away at three o’clock Thursday morning..
