Electric Light Improvement.

Notice has been received that, the big new dynamo fbr the city light plant was shipped Deo. let and it is likely to arrive some time today. The new arc lamps are also expected right away. They are of the latest and most improved style and will give a steady white light tnuoh superior to the somewhat jerky arc light now in use. They are 100 hour lamps, and will thus make much lees work to care for, and being inclosed will not make such tempting nesting places for sparrows and martins as those now in use. Thirty of these new arcs are ordered. Two expert line-men are now here putting the wires in shape for tbe Dew arrangement. When the new dynamo is installed it will run all the lights, both aro and inoandesoeut. When all is in shape Rensselaer will have one of the most perteot and op to-date rnunioipally owned lighting systems in the country.
